# Value creation services

{% hint style="warning" %}
*This section might be updated based on the latest developments in the SAGE consortium, specifically considering WP7, WP3, WP4, and WP5 working groups. Since the project runs till 2028, the final GDDS deliverable is expected to have additional information on these sections.*
{% endhint %}

One of the core objectives of the Green Deal Data Space (GDDS) is to ensure that shared data leads to meaningful value for participants and society. Beyond technical interoperability and trust, the GDDS must create an ecosystem where stakeholders can easily discover, access, and combine data with services to generate impact.

The Value Creation Services capability covers the services built on top of shared data, analytics, transformation, reporting, and supporting tooling that turn discoverable datasets into usable outcomes. Whereas Data, Services and Offerings Descriptions and Publication & Discovery make offerings visible and findable, this capability concerns what participants can do with them: the conditions under which value-added services are offered, operated, and reused within the GDDS.

This building block therefore sets the conditions for innovation, reusability, and sustainable growth within the GDDS by making offerings transparent, discoverable, and usable under agreed standards.

## Value-added service example: the Infrastructure Manager

A first value-added service delivered within the GDDS is the Infrastructure Manager (IM), which supports participants in deploying the technical components required to join the data space (e.g. their Data Connector) in a cloud environment. The IM automates provisioning of virtual infrastructure, operating-system configuration, and installation of the required software, using TOSCA and RADL templates, and supports multiple cloud providers through a command-line interface, a web dashboard, and a REST API. By lowering the technical barrier to deploying a compliant connector, the IM contributes directly to onboarding and participation. Further value-added services (for example, the semantic transformation and reporting services developed under Task 3.4) are being defined by Working Group 3.
