# Introduction

{% hint style="warning" %}
*This section might be updated based on the latest developments in the SAGE consortium, specifically considering WP6, WP7, WP4, and the Techie group, including inputs from Task 3.4 on value-added services. Since the project runs till 2028, the final GDDS deliverable is expected to have additional information on these sections.*

The Operational Frameworks of the Green Deal Data Space (GDDS) describe how the data space runs in practice and who keeps it running. While the Business Frameworks explain why the GDDS exists and the value it creates, the Operational Frameworks turn that intent into day-to-day operation, ensuring that data and services are delivered reliably, securely, and in line with the data space’s rules.

This section is organised into three areas:

1. Intermediaries & Operators describes the roles and bodies that operate shared services and connect participants to the data space.
2. Service Management covers how the data space’s enabling services are provisioned, maintained, and supported, including the service levels participants can expect.
3. [*Operating Policies and Procedures sets out the day-to-day rules and workflows that govern participation and operations. Readers concerned with the practical operation, service delivery, and operational responsibilities of the GDDS will find the relevant guidance here.* ](#user-content-fn-1)[^1]
